The Lord Mayor of
DublinCouncillor Paddy Bourke was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin at a meeting of Dublin City Council on 25 June 2007, and became a Commissioner of Irish Lights ex officio. The Lord Mayor subscribed to the oath and took his seat on the Board on 27 July 2007. Councillor Bourke (The Labour Party) has represented the Artane Ward since 2004, and previously served on Dublin City Council from 1991 to 1999. He serves on the City Council's Finance, Audit, and Protocol Committees and is Chair of the Corporate Policy Committee. He will serve a one year term of office as Lord Mayor. Councillor Bourke is also a member of the Board of Dublin Port Company. He is Chairperson of City of Dubin Vocational Education Committee, a member of the Governing Body of the Dublin Institute of Technology, and a member of the City of Dublin Youth Services Board. |
