Theatre Lights
A production of The Rock Station by Ger Fitzgibbon was
recently staged at the UCC Granary Theatre, Cork, in October.
Kieran O'Higgins
This play was set in a lighthouse on the west coast during Fenian days, and had various goings-on about a missing Keeper, gun-running, new incandescent apparatus, and the imminent arrival of the Inspector!
There were but two characters on stage, played by actors Brendan Conroy and Eamon Maguire, who must be congratulated for maintaining unflagging interest in the unfolding events.
Various Irish Lights names are credited in the programme with invaluable assistance. Some of the items on stage looked familiar, having been loaned from the Lighthouse Depot to add authenticity to the set.
All in all an entertaining evening, worthy of support.
