The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on or about 20 June 2011, a Special Mark Buoy will be placed on behalf of the Royal Ocean Racing Club to mark the western turning point of the course in the RORC's Rolex Fastnet Race. The race begins in Cowes on 14 August and is expected to be completed in Plymouth by 23 August.

This buoy will be retrieved as soon after the completion of the Rolex Fastnet Race as circumstances permit.
