Donaghadee Sound - Changes to Buoyage

The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on or about 15 September 2011, a new Starboard Lateral Mark Buoy "CARN" - Fl(2) G 6s will be established, its light synchronised with the Foreland Buoy. At the same time the character of the Foreland Buoy will be altered to Fl(2) R 6s. Around the same time the Deputy Buoy light character will be altered to Fl G 3s and its light synchronised with the Governor Buoy (Fl R 3s). These changes were recommendations in the 2010 Navigation Review.

The new characteristics of the buoys will be as follows:
