The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on or about Thursday 8 October 2009, or as soon thereafter as circumstances permit, a light will be established on the unlighted Colt Rock Beacon at the western approach to Castletown Berehaven, having the following characteristics:
Colt Rock Beacon
Position: Latitude: 51° 38.068' N, Longitude: 09° 55.087' W
Structure: Port Hand Lateral Beacon (Red Steel Pole)
Topmark: Red Can
Character: Fl(2) R 10s 0.5 + 1.5 + 0.5 + 7.5 = 10s.
Range: 5 nm
Elevation (above MHWS): 7.5m
Lighting Time: Hours of Darkness

   
Radio Navigational Warnings will be issued when the above changes take place.
