The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on or about 5 December 2005 the current preferred channel marking scheme will be permanently discontinued. The new Aids to Navigation scheme will provide marking for the western entrance channel only as follows:-
 
A NEW GLANDORE SW LIGHTED BEACON IS TO BE ESTABLISHED AS A STARBOARD LATERAL MARK

Position 51° 33.15' N    009° 06.64' W
Topmark Green Cone Apex upwards

A NEW LIGHTED STARBOARD HAND LATERAL MARK BUOY "SUNK ROCK" IS TO BE ESTABLISHED

Position 51° 33.46' N    009° 06.93' W
Topmark Green Cone apex upwards

The following marks are to be permanently dis-established:
Danger Buoy 51° 33.52' N    009° 06.85' W
Glandore SW Buoy 51° 33.11' N    009° 06.64'W
Glandore SE Perch 51° 33.19' N    009° 06.58' W

All other details remain unchanged.
