The Commissioners of Irish Lights hereby give notice that on
the 18th February 2002, or as soon thereafter as circumstances
permit, the present gas powered light at Blackhead Lighthouse (ALL
No. 6332) will be replaced with a Solar Powered Light.
This will cause no observable change in flash character, range, or sectors, however it should be noted that the new Solar Powered Light will be exhibited during the HOURS OF DARKNESS only.
Radio Navigation Warnings will be issued when the above alteration takes place.
